In order to use the foldback feature in EasyWorship, your computer should meet or exceed the HD system requirements found on our System Requirements page.  There are multiple ways to configure your computer hardware to support a third monitor for display foldback.  See the different options below.

Option 1 Matrox DualHead2Go

If you have a dual output videocard that meets our HD hareware requirements, you can use the Matrox DualHead2Go box.  The DualHead2Go comes in three editions.  Analog, Digital and DP.  We only recommend either the Analog or Digital Editions. The DP edition is only for use with Display Port monitors. You do not need to purchase the Matrox DualHead2Go box if you have an ATI/AMD graphics card with Eyefinity. See the information below for information about Eyefinity graphics cards.

The Analog Edition is the cheapest of the three and only has VGA connections.  It has a maximum resolution of 2 x 1280 x 1024.

4:3 resolutions for EasyWorship with this box are 2 x 800x600 or 2 x 1024x768

16:9 resolution for EasyWorship with this box is 2 x 1280 x 720.

The Digital Edition has two DVI outputs on it.  It has a maximum resolution of 2 x 1920 x 1200.

4:3 resolutions for EasyWorship with this box are 2 x 800x600,  2 x 1024x768, 2 x 1280x1024.

16:9 resolutions for EasyWorship with this box are 2 x 1280 x 720 and 2 x 1920x1080

Option 2 ATI RADEON HD 5850/5870 & AMD RADEON HD 6850/6870/7850/7870 & NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 - 690

The ATI RADEON HD 5850 and AMD RADEON HD 6850 card have three video outputs; 2 x DVI and 1 Display Port,  that allows you to have three screens that display something different. A Display Port to VGA or an Active Display Port to DVI or HDMI adapter is required in order to connect a standard monitor or projector to the Display Port. The HDMI connection cannot be used for foldback.  The NVIDIA 650 - 690 graphics cards allow you to use all four video ports if needed.  No ports are disabled. You do not need to purchase a Matrox DualHead2Go in conjuctions with these video cards.

With these cards, you will extend the windows desktop on to each monitor in the display settings, then set EasyWorship to use the appropriate monitor for the Front of House and Foldback Screens.

Here is What you need to use this option:

Option 3 Two PCIE X16 Graphics Cards

Using a secondary PCIE X16 graphics card may also provide good results for foldback.  Not all computers have two PCIE X16 slots on the motherboard. If you are using two NVIDIA cards or two ATI cards, make sure they are the same model.  You can use one ATI and one Nvidia card.  This will prevent video card driver conflicts. You do not need to purchase a Matrox DualHead2Go in conjuctions with these video cards.

Configurations We Do Not Recommend

  • USB graphics cards
  • Secondary or Multiple standard PCI graphics cards
  • Wireless graphics devices
  • NVIDIA Quadro cards
