Installing the K-Lite codec pack makes it possible for any version of EasyWorship to play MP4, FLV and many MOV* files. Follow the steps below to install the K-Lite codec pack. Make sure you follow each step carefully to insure you get the best results. NOTE: If you get audio but no video after installing the K-Lite Mega Codec pack, go to Step 10 and follow the instructions there. Step 1 Download the K-lite Mega Codec Pack. Right Click Here and click on open in new tab or window. Please email us if the download link is broken. Click the appropriate link to download the latest version of the K-lite Mega codec pack. Click save if asked to run or save. Step 2Start the installation of the K-Lite codec pack by double clicking the file you downloaded.  Step 3 Click The Next button. 
Step 4 Select Advanced install and click Next. 
Step 5 Click Next. 
Step 6 Select Profile 8: Lots of stuff (without player) from the list. 
Scroll down to MPEG-2, DVD and select Gabest. 
Scroll down 3/4 of the way to DirectShow Source Filters: - Under Matraska splitter select Gabest.
- Under MP4/3gp/MOV splitter select Gabest only.

- Under Ogg splitter select Gabest
- Under MPEG splitter select Gabest (TS/PS)

Click Next. Step 7 Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and uncheck "Visit a website with codec news" and click Next. 
Make sure Windows Media Player is unchecked and click Next. Some, but not all installs will have additional screens after this. Click next on those screens without making changes. 
Select 2.0 (stereo) and click Next. 
Step 8 Click Install 
* Remember to follow the instructions on Step 10 after installing the codec pack. Step 9 
The Done! Screen will appear. (YOU ARE NOT DONE YET) - Windows XP / Vista users: Click Finish and go to Step 10.
- Windows 7 users: Click Run W7DSFilter Tweaker tool and click Finish. (See instructions below)
Windows 7 Tweaker Instructions - Under 32-bit decoders: Select the following.
H.264 - ffdshow (DXVA) XVID - ffdshow DIVX - ffdshow MP4V - ffdshow MPEG2 - Gabest AAC - ffdshow.
- Leave all other settings at the default setting and click Apply.
- Click Apply on the next two screens without making any changes.
- When you see "Settings have been applied. Exit now?" click Yes.
- Go to Step 10 below.
* Remember to follow the instructions on Step 10 after installing the codec pack. * Step 10
- Download the FFDShowSettings File. Click Here
- If you are having problems with WMV files. Click Here instead.
- Save the file if prompted to save or open.
- Windows 7/Vista users Right click the ffdshowsettings.exe file and click run as administrator.
- Windows XP users double click the file.
- Click Yes on the first prompt.
- Click OK on the next prompt.
NOTE: - You have to do this step or you will get audio and no video when you go live with a video.
- The FFDShowSettings.exe file has to be installed under each windows account that will be using EasyWorship. To do this, log on to each windows account and follow the instructions on step 9 and 10.
The K-Lite codec pack has now been installed successfully. You can now use FLV, MP4, H.264, Many Mov and many other files in EasyWorship. NOTES In order to see MP4, FLV, MOV files when adding them to EasyWorship, select All Files from the drop down list at the bottom of the browse window. 
*Note: Audio will not play on Quicktime files that are encoded with Little Endian or Big Endian audio. You can determine the audio type by opening the video in Quicktime, then pressing Ctrl+i . These types of files can be converted to an mp4 file with AAC audio. Any Video Converter is a free utility that will allow you to convert these files. |
